25th
Year in my writing :- I live many lives through my stories..feel the
happiness, sorrow and pain of my characters while writing...I literally
become them and they become me...It is one thing that makes me feel that
I am really living! That could be the only reason why I have been
writing for so long
Yes, I would be completing 25 long years this year...maybe, a milestone.
I have spent so many years in writing that I feel that I have done at
least something in my life to be remembered for! It may not be a great
achievement, but something different from everyone else!
This would be my silver jubilee in writing...with stories & poems published across the globe...winning contests...I still remember that bunch of rejection letters, but I didn't give up! It would have been 64 rejections before I got my first story published! When I saw it in print I had tear drops in my eyes...that was success and it came when I had thought I may have to face some more failures.
Also it was appreciation and encouragement from my readers which kept me going Someone close to me asked me recently, how do I get so many different ideas for my stories? I had replied that I really don't know? Maybe, I was born to do this! Yes, I was born to be a writer, a storyteller, a poet...that is my identity! I would like to be remembered that way, if at all I would be remembered long after I'm gone!
Some people even told me that I have inspired them to live better lives! Well, that was really more than what I had expected to get back from my writing. Honestly, more than recognition, rewards, etc. It is my readers and only to them I am indebted. Without them, I am nothing! absolutely Nothing!
A big thank you to you all! Hope I would continue to get your support and continue what I have been doing for so long! God bless you all!
